BARA: A police constable, martyred by unidentified armed men, was laid to rest in Bara tehsil of the Khyber tribal district late Thursday night.
The sources said Israr Ahmad was riding a motorbike towards his home located in Bar Qambarkhel after performing duty when unidentified gunmen opened fire on him in Shalobar area.
As a result, he died on the spot. The accused managed to escape after committing the crime.
Later on, the police reached the place and shifted the body to Dogra Hospital for autopsy.
The police also began search for the killers, but no arrest had been made till the filing of this report.
