BANNU: Two persons including a woman were killed and over 30 others sustained injuries when heavy rain coupled with gusty winds and hailstorm in the district on Wednesday.
Several houses also collapsed after the rain and hailstorm lashed the area.The Rescue 1122 teams rushed to various areas and shifted the injured to the District Headquarters Hospital, Bannu, and Khalifa Gulnawaz Teaching Hospital.
The district administration has declared emergency in the three major hospitals while the leave of doctors has been cancelled owing to the emergency situation in the district.Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Shah Saud along with other officials visited the hospitals and inquired after the health of the injured.
