Tourist couple killed in Kaghan road mishap
MANSEHRA: A tourist and his wife were killed while their three children sustained injuries when a vehicle fell into a ravine in the Lulusar Lake area of Upper Kaghan valley on Sunday.
The car carrying a tourist family was on its way back to Lahore from Babusar Top when the driver lost control over steering as a result of which it plunged into a ravine. Rescue 1122 rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the Basic Health Unit in Naran where doctors pronounced Naveed Ahmad and his wife Nadia Naveed dead.
Dr Ali, the head of the Basic Health Unit in Naran, said the three injured children were referred to King Abdullah Teaching Hospital. He said that tourists coming to Kaghan valley and other hill stations should be cautious and never indulge in rash driving. Mohammad Farooq, an office-bearer of the hoteliers’ association in Kaghan valley, said that they also extended all possible help to injured children.
