LAHORE:Checking overcharging and implementing official rate remained a challenge for the government as the administrative staff is showing no intent to overcome these issues.
Non-implementation of the official rates affected the government’s writ and become a stigma on the governance matter. The government is yet to control inflation and overcharging which is directly related to the public matters.
This week price of chicken was gained by Rs17 per kg, fixed at Rs279-290 per kg, sold at Rs350 per kg, and chicken meat by Rs25 per kg, fixed Rs421 per kg, and sold Rs460-800 per kg. The price of potato soft skin unchanged at Rs75-80 per kg, sold at Rs130-140 per kg, B-grade fixed at Rs65-70 per kg, and C-grade at Rs55-60 per kilogram, mixed sold at Rs100-120 per kg.
The price of onion A-grade declined by Rs15 per kg, fixed at Rs90–95 per kg, sold at Rs140 per kg, B-grade fixed at Rs80-95 per kg, and C-grade fixed at Rs70-75 per kg, mixed sold at Rs100-120 per kg. The price of tomato A-grade further gained by Rs35 per kg, fixed at Rs172-180 per kg, sold at Rs300 per kg, B-grade fixed at Rs154-160 per kg, and C-grade at Rs140-145 per kg, mixed sold at Rs220-240 per kg. The price of garlic local gained by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs275-285 per kg, sold at Rs350-400 per kg, and Garlic China price was not fixed sold at Rs1000 per kg, Garlic Harnai gained by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs335-350 per kg, sold at Rs600 per kg, Garlic GI variety was fixed at Rs120-125 per kg, sold at Rs350-400 per kg.
The price of Ginger Thai reduced by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs590-610 per kg, and Ginger Chinese fixed at Rs590-610 per kg, both sold at Rs800-1,000 per kg. Cucumber Farm was unchanged at Rs57-60 per kg, sold at Rs80-100 per kg, and cucumber local fixed at Rs65-68 per kg, sold at Rs120-140 kg. Brinjal price was gained by Rs10 per kg, fixed Rs47-50 per kg, sold at Rs80-120 per kg. Bitter gourd further gained by Rs30 per kg, fixed at Rs72-75 per kg, sold at Rs100-140 per kg.
The price Spinach farm gained by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs32-35 at Rs80 per kg. Zucchini local was further gained by Rs25 per kg, fixed at Rs170-175 per kg, sold at Rs220-240 per kg, Zucchini farm by Rs3 per kg, fixed at Rs75-78 per kg, sold at Rs120-140 per kg, and Zucchini long at Rs60-63 per kg, sold at Rs100-120 per kg.
Mangoes unripe gained by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs57-60 per kg, sold at Rs80-100 per kg. Beans was gained by Rs60 per kg, fixed at Rs140-180 per kg, sold at Rs300-400 per kg. The price of different variety of apples reduced by Rs15 of apples fixed at Rs58-330 per kg, sold at Rs300-800 per kg.
The price of Banana A-category reduced by Rs25 per doze, fixed at Rs135-140 per dozen, sold at Rs220-250 per dozen, and B-category by Rs35 per dozen, fixed at Rs95-100 per dozen, sold at Rs150-180 per dozen, and C-category fixed at Rs65-70 per dozen, sold at Rs120-130 per dozen.
