Uzair Baloch gang member arrested in Lyari
A suspect injured in an alleged encounter with the Kalri police late on Thursday night was identified as an operative of the Lyari Gang War’s Uzair Baloch group.
The suspect, identified as Afzal Shah, was reportedly associated with the extortionist activities of Uzair Baloch's group, according to SSP City Arif Aziz. He stated that Shah had been involved in extorting money and issuing threats to builders and businessmen on behalf of the group. He further mentioned that the suspect had a history of multiple incidents related to extortion and robbery.
"The suspect's criminal record reveals eight cases registered against him, including murder, robbery, extortion, and drug trafficking," said the officer. He also confirmed that the recovered pistol from the suspect would undergo forensic analysis. Cases have been filed against Shah, and investigations are currently ongoing.
