Three Lesco officers suspended over prolonged power failures
LAHORE:Lesco Chief Executive Officer Engineer Shahid Haider on Sunday suspended three senior officers for not restoring power feeders in time after the rain that lashed the City on Saturday.
Among those suspended are SE, Central Jamshed Zaman, XEN, Civil Line Kamran Naveed and SDO, GOR Usman Qadeer. Speaking at a press conference, Lesco CEO vowed that no negligence would be tolerated in solving the problems faced by the customers. He said 213 feeders were affected in Lesco region during the Saturday's rain. He claimed that steps are being taken to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity during rainy season. He added that necessary material have been arranged for completion of necessary tasks.
All subdivisions of Lesco have 4 to 6 trolleys with 200 KV transformers. These trolleys and transformers can be used anywhere in case of emergency. At present, there is no outage on any feeder except high losses feeders, said CEO Lesco. In this connection, three hour load shedding is being done on 136 feeders of category 3 while 4 hour load shedding is being done on 68 feeders of Category 4. Similarly, 5 hour load shedding is being done on 42 feeders of category 5.
