Sikh yatrees arrive in City
LAHORE: Sikh yatrees from India arrived here in City on Friday via Wagah border to take part in the death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh. Punjab Minister for Minorities Affairs, and head of Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora besides Additional Secretary Shrines Saifullah Khokhar and officials welcomed the guests.
Speaking to newsmen, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora said that Evacuee Trust Property Board has taken all possible measure to facilitate yatrees.
Secretary Shrines told that yatrees were sent to Gurdwara Panja Sahib, Hassan Abdal to perform their religious rituals there. Yatrees will reach Nankana Sahib on Sunday (tomorrow) and stay at Gurdwara Janam Asthan. They will visit Gurdwara Succha Sauda Farooqabad on 24th and Gurdwara Kartarpur, Narowal on 25th and Gurdwara Rohri Sahib Aimanabad on 27th of this month. Yatrees will take part in the main ceremony of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh’s death anniversary at Gurdwara Dera Sahib, here on June 29.
