LDA teams to prevent illegal constructions
LAHORE: Lahore Development Authority (LDA), on the directions of Director General Tahir Farooq, has formed special teams to conduct surveillance to prevent illegal constructions during the holidays of Eid-ul-Azha.
In this regard, Director Admin and Enforcement Wing has issued duty notification and the LDA Enforcement Squad has been activated to keep a strict eye on illegal constructions during Eid days. The special teams included officers and staff from the Housing, Town Planning, Enforcement and other wings to take timely action upon receiving reports of illegal constructions. On Saturday, LDA Enforcement Squad conducted a flag march on College Road, PIA Road, LDA Avenue One, Pine Avenue, and Defence Road.
LDA DG said that strict monitoring will be maintained during weekends and Eid holidays. Timely action will be taken against those involved in illegal constructions, he added. He further stated that the purpose of the flag march was to raise awareness among citizens. Surveillance was being intensified to prevent illegal constructions in the city, LDA DG concluded.
