Rs61.75 billion for LG&CD uplift schemes

LAHORE:The Punjab government has allocated Rs61.750 billion, including foreign aid of Rs36.860 for 203 development schemes of Local Government & Community Development Department (LG&CD) for the financial year 24-25.
As per details, Rs40.153 billion has been specified for 136 ongoing schemes which also include seven foreign funding projects, while Rs21.596 billion has been allocated for 67 new schemes. The available budget documents revealed that out of the allocated amount the major chunk of Rs36.86 billion has been specified for the seven foreign aided projects.
