Haider wins gold at BRICS Games

LAHORE: Weightlifter Haider Sultan on Thursday snared gold in the Brics Games in Kazan, Russia. Haider, who belongs to Gujranwala, lifted a total weight of 261 kg in the 61 kg event.
He lifted 115kg in smatch and 146kg in clean and jerk to secure gold. Daniyal Aftab will compete in the 89 kg on Friday (today). The weightlifting squad has been sent by the goverment-installed interim committee as Pakistan Weightlifting Federation has been disowned by the government.
