Four cops injured as rivals trade fire in Kohat
KOHAT: Four police officials, including a station house officer (SHO), sustained injuries during an exchange of fire between two rival groups at Mirai Bala area on the outskirts of Kohat here on Wednesday.
It was learnt that the police from Ustarzai Police Station were conducting a raid to make some arrests after receiving a complaint when the accused opened fire on their rivals as well as the police. Four cops were injured in the firing. They were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital in Kohat. The injured were stated to be out of danger. A heavy contingent of the police arrived at the spot after the incident and launched a search operation.
Meanwhile, District Police Officer Mohammad Umar Khan visited the District Headquarters Hospital to inquire after the health of the injured cops.
