Deployment of AVLC personnel ordered at cattle markets

Sindh police chief Ghulam Nabi Memon, taking notice of a growing of buyers in Karachi’s cattle markets, has ordered deployment of AVLC police personnel at the cattle markets.

Officials said on Monday a notification had been issued for appointment of personnel for this duty. The officials will monitor vehicles and motorcycles in the parking lots of the cattle markets and protect the life and property of citizens.

AVLC teams will perform duties in cattle markets, and surveillance teams will be accompanied by IT personnel with laptops and AVLC app, who will keep an eye on any suspicious vehicles.

The notification reads that the following officials are deputed for duty at the points as shown against each:

Farid Hussain Marghob, DSP District South, will supervise/check the cattle market deployment. The points are Maweshi Mandi, Sunday Bachat Bazaar Ground Near Hyper Star Mall Clifton, Maripur Road Adjacent to Dua Hotel Lyari, Muhammadi Ground, Usmanabad UC-02 Narain Tanker Road.

Ghulam Farooq Brohi, DSP District Central, will supervise and check the cattle market deployment at Ahsanabad Town, Municipal Corporation Sohrab Goth, District East, Gulshan-e-Hadeed Chowrangi, opposite Imam Bargah beside Hadeed Committee Office, TMC Gadap. Open Plot at Hasrat Mohani Colony Near Town Office.

Safdar Ali Abbasi, DSP District Malir, will supervise and check the cattle market deployment at Ismail Gabol Goth, UC-08 Sharafi, TMC MALIR, at Creek Road Sunday Bachat Bazaar, an open place near Qayyumabad on Korangi Road.

Muhammad Aslam Khakhrani, DSP District West, will supervise and check the cattle market deployment at Maweshi Mandi KDA Ground Surjani Town, Bakra Mandhi in Gul Muhammad Goth Near Noorani Hotel UC-01 Mal Gari, Taiser Town, (Northern Bypass) open space situated at Sector-04 Orangi, Cattle Mandi at Yousuf Goth, Baldia Town, Maweshi Mandi, and Lyari Bakra Peeri.

Ghulam Farooq Brohi, DSP District Central, will supervise and check the cattle market deployment at Maweshi Mandi, Sunday Bazar Ground, Sector-11-D North Karachi. Maweshi Mandi, Liaquatabad No-08, Near Football Ground. IT Ground, Shadman Town, Sector- 14-B North Nazimabad, UC-02 (Shadman), Muhammadi Ground, Liaquatabad, Afghan Ground, Block-19 FB Area, Karachi.

Naseeruddin Marwat (0300-3683090) DSP District Korangi, will supervise and check the cattle market deployment at Old KTC Bus depot adjacent to the Indus Hospital Korangi, Friends Ground Near Nursary at Landhi Town, 13000 Road, and Azeem Pura Graveyard located in UC-03, TMC Shahfaisal.

Officials said they will perform duty outside of cattle market, i.e. in the parking area of motorcycles and cars, and check the vehicle with application (data) of the AVLC and if any suspicious, doubtful vehicle or motorcycle is noticed.

The DIO concerned and the incharges will remain in contact with DIB incharge of the district and share a picture of the duty point with the DSP Admin AVLC. All DSPs of the AVLC will check from time to time if any official is found absent they will inform this office for further necessary action.
