Iesco operation against power theft continues

Islamabad: Islamabad Electric Supply Company (Iesco) Chief Executive Dr Muhammad Amjad Khan in a statement said that in May during different raids Iesco’s operation, meter testing and surveillance teams apprehended 237 connections using direct power supply and 49 meter were found tempered, says a press release.
On the account of using direct power supply and tempered meters, fine of Rs29.44 million was imposed on accused customers. The meters were disconnected and police arrested 68 culprits. 284 FIRs were also registered.
