KARACHI: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has approved the appointment of three independent directors of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
According to a PSX notification, Dr. Shamshad Akhtar, Ruhail Muhammad and Adnan Asad have been appointed as independent directors on PSX’s Board for a term of three years, effective from April 19, 2024.
The elections of board of directors of PSX were held on April 3, 2024 and the first meeting of the newly elected board was held on April 26, 2024, to nominate persons for appointment as independent directors to the PSX’s board.
The board members agreed upon and submitted a list of candidates to the SECP for appointment as independent directors of PSX, read the notification.
