Azeri FM meets COAS, lauds Pak role in regional stability
He expressed his sincere appreciation for Pakistan’s steadfast support to his country
RAWALPINDI: Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir here on Friday and acknowledged Pakistan’s pivotal role in maintaining regional stability.
Talking to the army chief at General Headquarters (GHQ), he expressed his sincere appreciation for Pakistan’s steadfast support to his country.
General Asim Munir emphasised Pakistan’s long-standing fraternal ties with Azerbaijan and reiterated the country’s unwavering commitment to providing comprehensive assistance and cooperation in the spheres of defence and security.
During their meeting, they engaged in in-depth discussions on matters of mutual interest, including regional peace and stability.
The COAS praised the Azerbaijani armed forces for their exemplary professionalism and valour.
