LAHORE:On the 15th anniversary of the Rescue 15 building tragedy, the Lahore Police paid tributes to the martyrs on Monday.
On May 27, 2009, Inspector Abdul Rauf Sultan, Constable Hafiz Muhammad Nadeem, Constable Shakeel Ahmed, Constable Nisar Mansha, Constable Muhammad Akram, and Constable Umair Nazir embraced martyrdom in a terrorist attack in the line of duty.
The contingent of Lahore police saluted, laid floral wreaths and offered prayers at the graves of the martyrs. On the occasion, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique said the Rescue 15 building martyrs are our pride and their memories will always remain fresh in our hearts. He said the Lahore police stand in solidarity with the families of the martyrs.
