PESHAWAR: As per the directives of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and efforts of Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, the longstanding issue of upgradation of Fata teachers has been resolved.
The issue of the upgradation of Fata teachers remained unresolved since 2012 and was creating unrest among the teachers in tribal region.
As per details, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has agreed to resolve longstanding issue of upgradation of Fata teachers with effect from July 01, 2012. Over 20,000 teachers all over Fata would benefit from the upgradation.
Appreciating the decision of the federal government, Fata parliamentarians thanked the governor for resolving the longstanding issue. It may be mentioned that the governor had raised the issue of Fata teachers with the prime minister, who directed the finance minister to resolve the issue.
Meanwhile, congratulating the teachers from Fata, the governor said that all-out efforts were being made to provide better opportunities to the tribal students and to improve the education sector in tribal region. He urged the teachers to play their role in the betterment of education system. He assured them that all available resources would be utilised to promote education in Fata.
