Tribal student complains of receiving extortion calls

BARA: A member of the Malikdinkhel tribe and a student studying in the United Kingdom has complained of receiving extortion calls.
Speaking at a press conference here on Thursday, Saleem Zeb, alleged he had received calls from Afghan cell phone numbers demanding extortion.He alleged that the unknown callers were demanding Rs 25 million from him and hurling threats at his family if the amount was not paid.“I came from London a few days ago on vacation. I do social service and belong to a respectable family,” he said and added that he was not involved in any illegal activities.
