Delay in road construction protested

KHAR: The local residents staged a protest against the delay in construction of a road on Tuesday.

The residents of Meena-Gabray and adjoining areas gathered and blocked the under construction for vehicular traffic in Umaray ChowkThe protesting residents said that construction work was started on Meena-Gabray road but it could not be completed despite passage of long four years. They complained that elected representatives had given assurance time and again but they later reneged on their pledges to construct the road.

They said that they would continue to protest till commencement of construction of the road.Motorists and pedestrians faced great hardships due to closure of road traffic by the residents.
