Earlier on May 3, 2024, the Secretary to the Chief Justice of Pakistan had requested the Cabinet Division that the Chief Justice considers that the gift be presented to the Supreme Court Museum for permanent display, enabling the public to view it and be reminded of the bond and love that the people of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have for each other.

“The Kaaba Door’s Pen is in the shape of the traditional key of the door of the most holy site for Muslims and was an excellent choice of His Excellency, who represents the Muslim World League”, says the letter. It was stated that the Chief Justice considers that a thing of such beauty, presented by the Muslim World League, must be shared with the people of Pakistan. “Therefore, while the Chief Justice is honoured to receive the beautiful gift, he considers that it be presented to the Supreme Court Museum for permanent display, enabling the public to view it and be reminded of the bond and love that the people of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have for each other”, the secretary wrote.

It was further stated that the Kaaba Door’s Pen in a black gift box is being deposited as per the applicable Toshakhana rules with the request that requisite permission be granted and the same be presented to the Supreme Court Museum.

“I am delighted with your decision to display our humble gift at the Supreme Court Museum in Pakistan, where people will get a glimpse of the profound friendship, brotherhood and love we share with Pakistan and its people, who are dear to our heart,” Dr Mohammad Bin Abdul Karim A Issa wrote to Chief Justice of Pakistan.
