IED targets educationist’s house in Landikotal

LANDIKOTAL: An improvised explosive device (IED) planted outside the residence of the owner of a private school went off late Sunday night, police said.
Amjad Khan Afridi, Station House Officer (SHO) of Landikotal Police Station, said that unidentified people had planted the IED near the gate of Miram Kham Shinwari’s house in Landikotal. He said the IED went off late at night. He said that no loss of life was reported in the blast.
He said the police and the bomb disposal unit reached the site and cordoned off the area. Amjad Khan said Miram Shinwari and his family had no enmity and had received no threats. He said the police collected evidence and started an investigation.
