Protest against schools privatisation plan

GUJRANWALA: Dozens of teachers Monday staged a protest demonstration outside Gujranwala Press Club against the government plan of privatizing schools.
The teachers held banners and raised slogans against rulers. They demanded the government withdraw decision of privatizing the schools.
‘TOXIC’ LASSI AILS 10: Ten people fell ill after drinking alleged toxic Lassi at Pindi Bypass, Gujranwala on Monday.
Reportedly, labourers Shabbir, Mukhtar, Sarfraz, Abbas, Ashraf, Qasim and others unloaded a truck and drank “Lassi” from a shop and fell sick. Five labourers fainted and were rushed to DHQ Hospital.
WORKER DIES: A factory worker died of injuries he suffered on a furnace factory premises on Bajwa Road, Gujranwala on Monday.
Reportedly, labourers were working, when a wheel of a roller machine broke and injured Mehmood who was rushed to DHQ Hospital where he died.
