MANSEHRA: Two youngsters drowned in the Indus River in the Dasu area of Upper Kohistan on Monday.“We have initiated a search operation for the bodies, but flooding in the Indus River is impeding our efforts,” said Khalilur Rehman, the SHO of Dasu Police Station. Mohammad Yunus, 18, and Mohammad Javed, 17, were swimming at the riverside of the Indus in Dasu, the district headquarters of Upper Kohistan when torrents swept them away into deep water. Police and Rescue 1122 personnel swiftly responded and commenced rescue activities to recover the bodies. However, the swollen river posed challenges, hindering the operation.
