Man held for raping, killing child

LAHORE: Shalimar Investigations police arrested a suspect involved in murder of a nine-year-old child after rape and hiding his body in his house.

Reportedly, the suspect identified as Abdul Rehman was a relative of the victim child identified as Abdullah. He lured the victim to his place and raped. He to suppress his voice strangled the victim and to cover his crime hid the body under the bed after digging the floor. A case was registered against the victim going missing. Police probe solved the case and has arrested the suspect.

Two robbers injured in police encounter

Two suspected robbers were injured in a police encounter in Nishtar Colony. Reportedly, police received an information that two suspects were busy in looting citizens. A team responded on call and comforted the suspects near Kamahan Interchange. The robbers on seeing police party resorted to firing at them. In exchange of firing, the suspects received bullet injuries. They were shifted to a nearby hospital. The suspects were identified as Michael and Shabbir. Police has recovered a pistol, bikes, 10 mobile phones, other items from their custody.

Biker dies in collision

A motorcyclist died and another was injured in a collision between two bikes near Eastern Bypass Scheme. Reportedly, the victims were riding two different bikes and going somewhere. As they reached near Ada Shabeel on GT Road, the motorcyclists collided with each other. They received serious injuries and were shifted to a nearby hospital but one of them could not survive and died. The injured victim was undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Woman commits suicide

A 35-year-old woman has committed suicide by swallowing poisonous pills in Nawab Town. Reportedly, the victim identified as Nazia Irfan was frustrated over her domestic issues. She was so depressed and swallowed poisonous pills.

Her condition got deteriorated and was shifted to a nearby hospital but could not survive. Police removed the body to morgue to ascertain the cause of death and were investigating the matter further.
