SIFC was created to cut red tape when civilians failed: Khurram Dastgir
It is a reality that civilians have failed to end it,” he added
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) senior leader Khurram Dastgir Khan has admitted that the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) was created to cut the bureaucratic red tape.
In an interview to a news channel, he admitted the fact that politicians had failed to cut the bureaucratic red tape. “SIFC is like scissors to cut bureaucratic red tape.
It is a reality that civilians have failed to end it,” he added.
When asked by the host why Saudi Arabia did not set up an oil refinery in Pakistan, he said that the friendly country had committed to establish an oil refinery in 2019 but the PTI government failed to utilise the opportunity. “The refinery policy was approved in the PDM government’s tenure and now the project will start under SIFC,” he said.
