ISLAMABAD: The Federal Capital Police have lodged first information report (FIR) against former Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) prime minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas on the complaint of deputy security in-charge of the biggest Shopping Mall owned by the father of the former AJK premier.
The complainant, Col. ® Tipu Sultan, lodged a complaint with the Margalla Police Station, on behalf of the owner, alleged that the former AJK PM assailed the main officer of the Shopping Mall along with 20 to 25 people armed with weapons and tried to take away essential record and documents of the Mall forcibly and shot gun fire at the security in-charge but he escaped narrowly.
The security in-charge alleged that Sardar Tanveer Ilyas tried to take possession of the office of Sardar Arshad Ilyas, his real brother.
The complainant said in his written complaint that Sardar Tanveer Ilays, the accused, shouted at his brother and instigated his gunman to shoot down Arshad Ilyas, his brother. However, the security staff managed to hold off the armed assailants until the police reached the scene.
The complainant told the police that this was not first incident that Tanveer Ilays attacked the staff and brother, but it is the routine matter. The police have registered FIR against the former AJK PM and his aides under section 452/448/506-II148 and 149 PPC and sent teams to arrest the assailants.
