Selection board for promotion to BPS-22 likely in mid-May

ISLAMABAD: The federal government is likely to convene a meeting of high-powered selection board for promotion of senior bureaucrats from BPS-21 to BPS-22 in the mid of May.

The Establishment Division will issue a notification for 28th meeting of the high-powered selection board, which is going to be held after 13 months. The last meeting was held on March 03, 2023.

The federal government has set May 31 the cut-off date for filling the vacant posts of BPS-22 through promotion of BPS-21 officers.

The Establishment Division would form panels of different services for promotion to BPS-22.

The Establishment Division has directed all the officers concerned to prepare lists of all vacant posts of services and groups.

Initially, nine posts of Pakistan Administrative Service, two posts of Pakistan Police Service and four vacant posts of Secretariat Group have been identified.
