SUKKUR: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah hosted a lunch for PPP Parliamentarians, where he asserted that Pakistan must value its integrity above everything. He said this while talking on Monday to the media in Sukkur at Saad Bhello.
Referring to the decision of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to attend the next session of the National Assembly, he said Pakistan People’s Party will welcome the MNAs in the assembly. Talking about the Yemen issue, he stressed upon the government to take all the political parties into confidence on the turmoil in Yemen and advised not to take any decision alone. He opined that multiple issues will develop by sending the army to Yemen, and it might reflect upon the sovereignty of Pakistan and added Pakistan should play a reconciliatory role between Yemen and Saudi Arabia. He said any attack on the country having the most sacred places for the Muslims would not be tolerated.
Shah said the foreign media was exploiting the Yemen and Saudi Arabia conflict and was projecting the conflict instead of reporting fairly. He urged upon Pakistan and all the Islamic countries to come forward to reduce the tension. He said the PPP has a clear policy and wants the joint session of parliament to make a decision in this regard. Qamar Zaman Kaira said on the occasion said that the government should talk to both the countries immediately and bring them on the table.
