Kukikhels seek return of displaced families

JAMRUD: A jirga of Kukikhel tribe convened in Jamrud tehsil under the leadership of Malik Naseer Ahmad on Monday sought a solution to various problems in the area.Member National Assembly Iqbal Afridi, MPA Abdul Ghani Afridi and other area elders attended the event.

Addressing the gathering, Iqbal Afridi expressed solidarity with the Kukikhel tribe, vowing to actively engage in resolving their shared challenges.He emphasized that their advocacy efforts would not be limited to parliamentary sessions but would also include dialogues and Jirga sessions with government representatives.

The legislator assured prompt action on issues like the return of Tirah Rajgal displaced families and the demarcation of Regi Lalma, promising his efforts to ensure a consistent six-hour electricity supply.

Malik Naseer Ahmed voiced disappointment over unmet government promises, particularly regarding the return of Rajgal displaced families and the provision of electricity.He warned of an intensified protest such as blocking the Pak-Afghan Highway if demands were not met.
