There will be a partial shutdown of power supply to various feeders of the Dhabeji Pumping station by K-Electric (KE) on account of annual maintenance work on Monday, April 29, and Tuesday, April 30.

According to a spokesperson for the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC), the maintenance work would continue on April 29 and 30 from 11am to 7pm.

He said the city would face a total water shortage of 165 million gallons per day due to the maintenance work by the power utility. He added that during the power shutdown, the water corporation would also engage in repair work on a leakage.

The KWSC spokesperson said the duration of the power shutdown would be 48 hours in total, and due to the repair work, water supply would be temporarily suspended in Jamshed Town, Gulshan, Clifton, Lyari, Saddar, Lalukhet and Nazimabad. He advised the citizens to store water and use it prudently.
