LAHORE : A delegation of Punjab University’s Academic Staff Association (PU-ASA) and LCCI President Kashif Anwar discussed the option of promoting academia-industry linkage.
The PU-ASA team was led by its president Amajd Abbas Khan Magsi and other members included secretary Dr M Islam, Vice President (Arts) Dr Ghalib Ata and treasurer Dr Amer Masood Chishti.
The delegation apprised the LCCI president about the research taking place in the PU and the various expertise of the teaching faculty. During the meeting it was agreed to bridge the academia and industry linkage.
LCCI secretary Shahid Khalil and Furqan Hanif were also present on the occasion. It was agreed that a series of sector-wise seminars would be conducted to use the varsity’s research to reduce import bills and strengthen domestic manufacturing.
