LAHORE : The Wildlife Department of Punjab intercepted a consignment of rare turtles that were illegally imported from Thailand at Lahore Airport.

According to officials, the turtles were concealed within double packing in 15 cartons of various goods and smuggled into Pakistan.

After receiving secret information about 200 turtles, the Wildlife Department conveyed the information to Customs authorities, who recovered the turtles that were hidden separately in packs of 100.
