ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC), while accepting the protective bail plea of PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat, has restrained Punjab police from arresting him.
Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri took up Sher Afzal bail plea for hearing Thursday. During the hearing Justice Jahangiri inquired Sher Afzal Marwat had he left any place where case had not been registered against him.
Sher Afzal Marwat told the court, “My Lord cases are being registered against him all over the country. The court inquired was this case registered in Kasur. Sher Afzal Marwat said that he had held public meeting in Kasur and police had registered case against him. The court, while accepting protective bail of Sher Afzal for two weeks against the surety bonds in the sum of Rs10000, stopped Punjab police from arresting him.
