MANSEHRA: People with disabilities on Thursday protested to demand the registration of their women family members in the Benazir Income Support Programme.
“We are without daily meals owing to the highest ever inflation in the history of the country but the District Social Welfare Department and nongovernmental organisations receiving funds in the name of PWDs, are not supporting us financially and otherwise,” Mohammad Iqbal told the protesters. The PWDs from Dodial and Shinkiari areas mostly on their wheelchairs assembled at the Karakoram Highway in Dodial Bazaar and raised slogans in support of their demands.
