LAHORE:The Department of Social Welfare and Baitul Maal works tirelessly to fulfill the mission of ‘Riyasat Hogi Maa Ki Jaisi’ (The state will be like a mother).
In a recent development, the Department of Social Welfare and Baitul Maal has exemplified its commitment to this mission by taking swift action to aid the disadvantaged. Fakhar Abbas, a resident of a village in Batapur, reached out to the department seeking assistance for his son, Ali Hamza, a 14-year-old grappling with physical and mental disabilities. Upon receiving the request, Minister for Social Welfare and Baitul Maal Sohail Shaukat Butt wasted no time and immediately summoned the family to his office. With the directives of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, arrangements were made for Ali Hamza’s treatment, including the provision of a wheelchair. Minister Sohail Shaukat Butt personally placed Ali Hamza on the wheelchair, witnessing the joy on the young boy’s face, which reflected the success of the department's efforts. Ali Hamza’s father expressed his gratitude and prayers for CM Maryam Nawaz and minister for their swift response and support.
