Gold rates drop Rs7,800 per tola

KARACHI: Gold prices in the local market fell by Rs7,800 per tola on Tuesday, retreating from several record highs, as rates tracked a decline in the international market, according to data from the All Sindh Saraf Jewellers Association.
The price of gold in the local market decreased to Rs240,900 per tola. Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold also fell by Rs6,687 to Rs206,533.In the international market, gold rates dropped by $72 to $2,309 per ounce.
Silver prices also fell, with rates dropping by Rs100 to Rs2,650 per tola. The price of 10-gram silver decreased by Rs85.74 to Rs2,271.94.Prices in the local market are adjusted with a premium of $20 against rates in the international market.
