LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has adopted a new tradition of rewarding players for their outstanding performance, following in the footsteps of popular Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars.

After matches against New Zealand in Rawalpindi, Selection Committee member Wahab Riaz presented awards to the match’s best fielder and the impact player in a bid to boost morale in the dressing room.

A video circulating on social media shows the squad gathered in the dressing room, where Shaheen Afridi is presented with the best fielder award. The Impact Player award went to Mohammad Amir, who claimed two wickets for 13 runs in three overs against New Zealand.
