LAHORE: In a thrilling day of racing at the Lahore Race Club, the underdogs emerged victorious, shaking up expectations and delivering surprising results to spectators.
Among the highlights of the day was the Punjab Cup, where National Colour, ridden by Bilal Ahmed, delivered a commanding performance to secure victory. The day kicked off with an upset in the opening race, as Moon Light secured an unexpected victory, leaving Shah Prince behind. Sky Warrior, the favourite, disappointed by finishing last on the podium.
In the second race, Moni Prince surprised everyone with a strong performance, while Absolutely Not claimed the place. Desert Parri, the favourite, settled for third. Black Master, a favourite, lived up to expectations by winning the third race, with Kuwait Edition unexpectedly claiming the place. Niazi Princess’s third position added another element of surprise to the race.
The fourth race witnessed another upset, as Quality Street dashed Elizabeth’s hopes of victory, with Casper securing third place. In the Turbat plate, Leisure Trip, ridden by Shahbaz, emerged victorious. Bella Veste provided another surprise by securing second place, while Manat’s third position shocked many.
