A father of seven children fell victim to a gun attack by unidentified assailants near the Northern Bypass in Surjani Town on Thursday.
Police transported the body of the deceased, identified as 45-year-old Noor Ahmed, son of Ismail, to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal procedures. He was a resident of Gadap Town and worked in a private residential apartment.
The victim, survived by five sons and two daughters, suffered a gunshot wound to the back, with the bullet piercing through his chest. Initial investigations suggest that the assailants, riding a motorcycle, pursued and targeted Ahmed from behind, leaving a shell of a .30-bore pistol at the crime scene.
No valuables were taken from the victim, as his mobile phone, motorcycle, and other belongings remained untouched. This led authorities to consider motives beyond robbery, including personal enmity or targeted killings. However, the victim's family insisted the incident occurred during a robbery. No case had been registered till the filing of this news story.
