ISLAMABAD: Heavy rains that lashed out Rawalpindi and Islamabad Monday forced the Pakistan cricket team to stay indoors.
The practice session scheduled for the day was cancelled following heavy rains. “The training scheduled for Monday was cancelled due to heavy rains that lashed out sister cities on Sunday and Monday. The Pindi Stadium was full of water Monday evening,” a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official said.
The forecast for the next two days is encouraging but chances of rain for Thursday to Sunday are there. Besides Pakistan, New Zealand is also scheduled to train on Tuesday. The opening T20 is scheduled for Thursday, April 18 at the Pindi Stadium.
