Minister says peace, education must for progress
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Food Zahir Shah Toru has said that peace and education are vital in fostering progress and development.
Speaking at an event organised by the Gujjar Welfare Foundation in Mardan district on Sunday, Toru emphasised that without peace and education, achieving progress remained a distant dream.
Drawing from historical examples, Toru said that nations that advanced had prioritised the establishment of peace, followed by the empowerment of their youth through education. He also revealed the advocacy of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Imran Khan, who he said viewed peace and education as fundamental pillars for progress.
Toru reiterated that peace and education ranked among the priorities of the PTI-led government in the province. Despite facing resource constraints, he stated that the government was actively taking measures to promote peace, prosperity, and education.
