Three killed, eight injured as bus overturns on Super Highway

A bus travelling from Karachi to Larkana overturned on the Super Highway due to rain on Sunday, resulting in the deaths of three individuals, including two children, and injuries to eight others.

According to police, the accident occurred near Jhokio Morr on the Super Highway. The casualties were transferred to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. The three victims killed in the accident are yet to be identified, police said, adding that two of them were children aged around three years and one was an elderly man.

The injured persons included Ali Khan, Balaaj, Irfan Ali, Khalid and Fareeda, wife of Anwar. Three children were also injured, two of whom were identified as Rukhsana and Begum Khatoon.

Meanwhile, on Supraco Road in Baldia Town, a motorcycle collided with a rickshaw, resulting in the death of an unidentified girl who appeared to be 10 years old. She was shifted to the Civil Hospital, Karachi.

Lightning strikes house

Lightning struck a house in New Nazimabad during rain on Sunday, causing partial damage to it, with cracks developing in the roof and the walls of the house. The loud thunder terrified people and caused them to come out of their homes.

Police said lightning struck the house of a man named Ferozuddin. They said that besides causing cracks in the roof and the walls of the house, lightning also damaged two electricity meters. However, no casualties were reported due to the lightning strike.
