People’s friendly policies being implemented, says minister

PESHAWAR: Provincial Food Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Zahir Shah Toru on Friday said that the provincial government was committed to implementing the people’s friendly policies despite the economic crunch.

“Our government in the province is working on projects for the welfare of the people under the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. And according to our leader Imran Khan’s vision, the health cards facility has been restored besides the provision of cash assistance worth billions of rupees to the poor citizens during Ramazan,” he told the media.

Zahir Shah Toru said that Mardan is the second largest city in the province and its development is the top priority of the provincial government.He said he had already talked to the chief minister and health minister to provide funds for the completion of the ongoing projects of DHQ Hospital and Benazir Children Hospital in Mardan and the required funds would be provided soon.

He said that they were working on many projects for the development of Mardan. In response to a question, Zahir Shah Toru said that there were specific situations regarding the security of the province and in that context a meeting was held with the corps commander Peshawar.

The provincial food minister also enumerated the steps taken by the food department to control prices and prevent artificial inflation during Ramazan. He said that the Food Department and administrative officers had worked hard to provide food items at reasonable prices to the people.
