The convocation of MA English, MA Education, MEd, BA, BSc and BEd courses was held at Bilquis Postgraduate College for Women, PAF Base, Nur Khan, on Wednesday.
Saira Tarar, minister of state for national health services, regulations and coordination, was the chief guest, while Begum Talat Sohail, president of Pakistan Air Force Women’s Association (PAFWA), was also present on the occasion. Air Vice Marshal (r) Faaiz Amir, vice chancellor of the Air University, presided over the ceremony.
The chief guest awarded trophy, medals and certificates to the position holders in various disciplines. ‘Quaid-i-Azam Trophy’ for being the best student of the year was awarded to Mamoona Hassan.
Air Vice Marshal (r) Faaiz Amir, conferred the degrees to 77 students of MA English, 24 students of MEd, 30 students of MA Education and 192 students of BEd Courses.
Earlier, Kaukab Ara Nasir, principal of Bilquis Postgraduate College for Women, presented the annual report of the college. Established in 1984, Bilquis Postgraduate College for Women is not only one of the prestigious educational institutions of Pakistan Air Force but also a top ranking education college in the country.
Besides, MA English, MA Education, MEd, BEd, BA and BSc courses, the college also offers Diploma in Montessori and Computer Sciences.
