ETPB’s land reclaimed from illegal occupants
LAHORE: An operation of the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) against illegal occupants was carried out across the country and valuable land worth billions of rupees was recovered on Tuesday.
Board secretary Farid Iqbal supervised the operation on the orders of the chairman. After conducting a joint operation, the ETPB and FIA recovered lands of more than Rs8 billion of the board, secured them and appointed their security personnel.
These lands were in different places of Karachi at Lasbela Chowk, Civil Hospital Karachi and Sohrab Goth Super Highway. Regarding the land, Deputy Administrator Karachi Asif Khan presented a report to board secretary Farid Iqbal, who will present a detailed report to the chairman.
ETPB Chairman Arshad Farid Khan said operations against illegal occupants of the trust board’s land across the country would continue without discrimination and strong action would be taken against them.
