Rs850,000 released for cops’ health welfare

LAHORE: Inspector General Police (IGP), Punjab, Dr Usman Anwar Tuesday released Rs850,000 for the health welfare of police employees.
The compensation award committee meeting held at welfare branch announced the cash. The committee also reviewed cases forwarded from various districts for employees for medical treatment.
According to detail, Additional IG Welfare Riaz Nazir Gara approved Rs300,000 for injured Ghazi constable Abdul Rehman from Lahore police, Rs250,000 for medical treatment of PHP Gujranwala sub-inspector Faisal Imran, Rs200,000 for injured Ghazi Constable Muhammad Ilyas of Lahore Police and Rs100,000 for injured Ghazi Head Constable Faryad Hussain.
