LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday issued a notice to respondents on bail plea of former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi in the alleged illegal appointments case.
The post-arrest bail plea of Pervaiz Elahi in the alleged illegal appointments in Punjab Assembly (PA) came up for hearing before the LHC on Monday.
Single bench of the LHC led by Justice Shehram Sarwar Chaudhry heard the case.
Pervaiz Elahi took the plea in the petition that the anti-corruption court rejected his bail plea against the law and the case was instituted against him on political basis. The court is requested to accept the bail plea, he said.
