Senate polls: MQM-Pakistan assures PMLN, PPP support to their joint candidates

ISLAMABAD : The MQM-Pakistan on Monday assured the joint delegation of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) and Pakistan People's Party (PPP) support for their joint candidates in the Senate elections from federal capital.
PMLN and PPP delegation held meeting with the MQM-Pakistan at the residence of MQM-Pakistan convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui here on Monday.
The PMLN and PPP delegation included Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Law Minister Azam Tarar, Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani and others. MQM-Pakistan MNAs were also present on this occasion.
The MQM-Pakistan spokesperson said on the request of the PMLN and PPP delegation, MQM-Pakistan's Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui extended assurance of support for joint candidates of PMLN and PPP in the Senate elections.
Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on technocrat seat and PPP' s Rana Mehmoodul Hassan for general seat from federal capital are joint candidates of PMLN and PPP in the Senate elections.
