Two die from suffocation while cleaning drain in Bin Qasim

Around a week after two labourers suffocated to death inside a manhole in the Bin Qasim area on March 23, another two persons died on Sunday as they suffocated while cleaning a drain at a plant in Bin Qasim. Another man also fell unconscious due to poisonous gases in the drain and was admitted to a hospital.
According to police, the three men were engaged in cleaning work in a drain near Port Qasim when all of them lost consciousness due to poisonous gases. When rescuers took them out, two of them had already died and one was unconscious who was rushed to a hospital. Police said the deceased men had been identified as Naqib and Hussain who were between 26 and 35 years old.
