ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Friday submitted an adjournment motion in the National Assembly to discuss the judges’ letter, Geo News reported
The text of the adjournment motion said the judges’ letter should be discussed in the National Assembly meeting by suspending the normal proceedings.
The text says that the letter to the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) mentions interference in the affairs of the judiciary and an independent judiciary is must for the supremacy of the Constitution.
According to the adjournment motion, PTI founder is in jail due to the interference in the judiciary, so the House should ensure a transparent judicial inquiry into the matter.
